Surah Nahl (16) 27/08/2015

bismi_65

With the name of Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Verse 2:  He does send down His angels with inspiration of His Command, to such of  His servants as He pleases, (saying): “Warn (Man) that there is no god but I: so do your duty unto Me.

This verse addresses the issue of revelation.  The term “ruh” is often used in the Qur’an in the sense of “divine inspiration.  Also see sura 42: verse 52.  Revelation (the Qur’an) is the source of spiritual life; it gives life to hearts that are dead due to their ignorance.

This verse also emphasises that every prophet was commanded to deliver the
same message, i.e. “There is no god, but Allah”. Accepting the Oneness of
Allah SWT implies acknowledging that He is the sole authority and being
conscious of His Laws.

Continues tomorrow  ……. Salaams /Peace
