With the name of Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Only Allah (SWT) is worthy of worship

Verse 73 “And they worship others besides Allah,- such as have no power of providing them, for sustenance, with anything in the heavens or earth, and cannot possibly have such power?”

After we contemplate the wonders of creation and the various means of sustenance that Allah has provided for us, each being a miracle on its own, it becomes clear that there is no power comparable to Allah’s power.  As such He is worthy of being worshipped, Him and Him alone.   Every ‘powerful’ person only possesses secondary power, such a person always has to utilise the laws created by the Supreme Being,  Allah SWT and hence only Allah SWT is worthy of worship and there is no other like Him.   Therefore we are told in verse 74.

Verse 74: “Invent not comparisons for Allah: for Allah knows, and ye know not”.
