With the name of Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Allah’s justice and mercy
Surah 20 (Ta-ha)
Verse 122-123 “But his Lord chose him (for His Grace): He turned to him, and gave him Guidance. He said: “Get ye down, both of you,- all together, from the Garden, with enmity one to another: but if, as is sure, there comes to you Guidance from Me, whosoever follows My Guidance, will not lose his way, nor fall into misery”
After Adam (AS) errs as a result of Shaytaan’s influence and deceit, Allah SWT’s justice and mercy is shown. When he expels Adam (as) from the garden He shows His justice but then He also shows His mercy and compassion by offering Adam an opportunity for repentance. The repentance is shown by complying with Allah’s guidance. The opportunity was taken by Adam (AS) and he turned in repentance to Allah SWT. An important lesson for us – we should remember that when we do wrong Allah’s justice demands that we correct our actions and turn to Him by complying with His guidance. In doing so we earn His mercy. We should never despair of Allah’s mercy. 39:53 “Say: “O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful”.
Continues tomorrow. Insha Allah …
