Sura 26 (As – Shu’araa)

The Prophets concern for your welfare

Verse 1: It may be thou frettest thy soul with grief, that they do not become Believers.

The attitude of the Prophet was that he was concerned about the spiritual welfare of everyone. He felt personally responsible for making everyone connect with Allah. This is a lesson for us to learn to concern ourselves in discouraging one another from doing evil and encouraging on another to do good. The spiritual welfare of everybody becomes everyone’s business so that we  all may become successful in Allah’s sight.

Cross-reference: 9:128 Now hath come unto you an Messenger from amongst yourselves: it grieves him that ye should perish: ardently anxious is he over you: to the Believers is he most kind and merciful.
