With the name of Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Sura 26 (Ash-Shuaraa: The poets)

Historical lessons

The next story covered is that of Nuh (AS) in section 6.  Interestingly all the stories in this sura conclude with the following 2 verses “Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful”

This repetition occurs 8 times in the Sura and highlights that history has lessons for us to learn from.   Each story highlights the eventual victory of Truth over Falsehood and the destruction of oppressors. Human beings need to accept the Truth from Allah and practice upon it to ensure its survival and success.  The second lesson is the power and might of Allah (SWT) in the way He dealt with the wrong doers as well as the ultimate mercy that prevails in the end, ensuring the victory of the righteous.

Continues tomorrow…

Salaams/Peace
