With the name of Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Blind following will land you in trouble

Sura 34 Verse 32
The arrogant ones will say to those who had been despised: Was it we who kept you back from Guidance after it reached you? Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed.

The selection of verses around this verse teach an important lesson. Here the leaders or arrogant ones are blamed by their followers for misleading them. However just as Shaytaan can suggest to us, that does not absolve us from following and acting upon the sinful ideas. The same is true with the leaders whom we choose to follow be they business advisors, socialites or religious teachers… the given blessing of intellect and instinct of right and wrong are universal and we can never blame our decisions on others. In the verse the leaders proclaim: “Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed.”
