With the name of Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Sura 46 (Ahqaf)
A lesson from the people of Ad
“Mention (Hud) one of Ad’s (own) brethren: behold, he warned his people about the winding Sand tracts: but there have been Warners before him and after him: Worship ye none other than Allah: truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Mighty Day..”
Apart from the historical facts in this verse, the mention of the sand tracks give us further lessons to learn from the story of Hud (AS). The changes in nature and society contain signs for us to reflect upon. Just as a piece of land is unstable and infertile without the blessings of water, so too is the condition of people without the blessings of the revelation of Allah.
Cross reference Surah 14 verses 24-25
“Seest thou not how Allah sets forth a parable?- a goodly Word like a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the heavens-It brings forth its fruit at all times, by the leave of its Lord. So Allah sets forth parables for men, in order that they may receive admonition.”
Continues tomorrow InshaAllah…
