With the name of Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Sura 55 (Ar-Rahman)

The favours of Allah SWT, the all Merciful, extends through the heavens and the earth

Verses 5-7

“The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed, and the stars and the trees – both (alike) prostrate in adoration, And the Sky has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice),”

After describing our creation and our faculty of speech, Allah SWT now turns our attention to His Divine programming in the universe. Allah SWT describes how the sun and moon run their courses in a precise and calculable order which makes the lives of human beings both possible and convenient. The stars and trees and in fact all things in nature submit (sujood) to His programming and the atmosphere surrounding the Earth serves crucial functions for the continuity of life. All these are immense and clear benefits which Allah SWT has made available for humanity. He therefore repeatedly asks the question in the Sura “Which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?”

May Allah swt save us from being ungrateful to Him.

Continues tomorrow InshaAllah . . .
Salaam /Peace
