Sura 28 (Qasas)
Victory of the righteous
Verse 83 That Home of the Hereafter We shall give to those who intend not high-handedness or mischief on earth: and the end is (best) for the righteous.
Much of Sura Qasas is devoted to the story of Moosa AS and the injustices committed by pharaoh and those who supported him – Haman and Qarun. These three figures, Pharoah the political despot, Qarun the greedy materialist and Haman the supportive religious priest,all collaborated to give each other legitimacy and fulfilling their mission of absolute power and corruption.
We find such mischievous collaborators even today in so called “Muslim” countries. The lesson is that the righteous will eventually be victorius and we should be vigilant, not falling for the authority of “people” be it political, economic or religious. The righteous are those that obey Allah above all else and stand against such unjust leadership. That was the mission of Moosa AS a lesson for all times.
